Crimean population restored historical justice by their decision to reunite with Russia, according to Russian president Vladimir Putin. He is sure that their 2014 campaign has been recorded in the history books, RIA Novosti informs. The head of state talked about this in Sevastopol during his meeting at the concert dedicated to the 4th anniversary of Crimean Reunification with Russia.
“We showed to the whole world what true democracy, not the showy one, means. You came to the referendum and made a decision to vote for your future and the future of your children,” Putin said.

Russian President thanked the peninsula population and reminded that its departure from USSR did not meet the Soviet legislation.

Note that earlier Vladimir Putin has explained what reasons guided him to make a decision about the Crimean Peninsula’s reunification. He has mentioned that if millions of people’s fates including those who want to come back are at one scale pan and some clashes on the international arena are at the second scale, the first pan will surely outbalance.

Around 40000 people watched the concert held at the Nakhimov square.

Commander of the Black Sea Navy Fleet Admiral Aleksander Vitko and the deputy of the state parliament, the main participant of the Crimean Spring Aleksey Chaly congratulated the Crimean population. The music band Lyube, Russian pop singer Vika Tsyganova, the Turetsky Choir and other stars were performing at the concert. Aleksander Marshal was hosting the concert.
