The language of ultimatums chosen by UK in communication with Russia simply does not work, as per Permanent Representative of Russia to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov. He mentioned that Russia is not afraid of anybody or anything, TASS reports.

Diplomat has pointed out that UK failed to present Russia with samples of the substance used for Sergei Skripal’s poisoning. Thus, London has violated the international law, as UK was obliged to provide the accused party with all “objective data”.

Nobody is entitled to deliver Russia any ultimatums, according to Official Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, TASS informs. This was her comment on the British Prime Minister Theresa May’s statement, who posed an ultimatum that Moscow should give detailed explanations concerning this case of Skripal. Otherwise, British Prime Minister has threatened that “more serious measures” will be taken towards Russia than before.

Moreover, Moscow did not get any official answer from the British authorities on its questions. Our country was not presented with the investigation results. On the contrary, the access to the documents was denied. The ultimatum of Theresa May terminated today 3 a.m. Moscow time.

Moscow has responded to London the previous evening that there were no any official requests registered regarding the incident, the Russian Embassy sent a note to the British Foreign Ministry stating that Russia is not involved into the Skripal’s case.

The British Security Council will define enforcement measures on Moscow, which might include boycott of FIFA World Cup, introduction of new sanctions, arrest of Russian business accounts, RT channel closure and expulsion of diplomats.

Russia has already claimed that any sanctions against our country will be symmetrically answered.
