Return to the Promised Land film premiered

Gorniy Svet Charity Foundation assisting creative initiatives, projects and arts with support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society and the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for external church relations have completed production of the film titled Return to the Promised Land.

The film is dedicated to 170th anniversary of Russia’s presence in Palestine and immense significance of Russia’s serving to the Holy Sepulcher. The film shows property owned by Russia and making a part of the Russian Palestine, an object created and preserved for Russia by its numerous devotees.

At present, Gorniy Svet Charity Foundation is leading premieres, educational demonstrations of the film and spreading its charity DVD circulation.


The premieres took place at such TV channels as Soyuz, Spas and Semya. At the end of February, a repeated screening of the film is scheduled at Spas TV channel and a premiere at the department of arts of Lomonosov Moscow State University. After the demonstrations, directors of the film will discuss the film with spectators and answer their questions.
