Russia and Serbia sign range of intergovernmental agreements

Russian Presidential AdministrationA range of documents and international agreements have been signed at the end of talks held in Moscow between Russia and Serbia, the official website of the Kremlin reports. At presence of Vladimir Putin and Alexander Vucic, the parties signed an agreement of social catering between the two countries, a memorandum on collaboration in the field of tourism and a resolution about cooperation in the field of economics and its modernization.

Parties touched upon the question of free trade zones’ creation. According to Russian President, such zones would open new possibilities for Serbian partners, which would lead to the increased turnover. The involvement of Serbia into construction of Turkish Flow was also discussed, this would enable Serbia to become a consumer of the Russian gas and one of the key transit countries at the Balkans.

Kosovo issue has also been talked over. Vladimir Putin has emphasized that this issue should be settled by way of political dialogue on the basis of the UN resolution. Russian President has added that Moscow will accept and support the decision beneficial for both parties.

Russia is interested in stabilization of situation in this region and in development of beneficial ties will all the Balkan countries, Putin said.
