The gala opening ceremony took place in the framework of Days of Moscow festival taking place in Budapest, Russian Century website reports.

According to Deputy Mayor Gabor Bagdi the place for the avenue has not been used before. The local population was not aware of it at all. At present, when the city started to develop after long years of stagnation, authorities decided to put this part of the Danube bank in order. Now it has tuned into one of the most favorite pedestrian places of Budapest citizens.

As per the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Leonid Pechyatnikov, the interaction of the two capitals should be based on principles of humanism and sensibility, no matter what happens in the world in future.

Russian delegation has emphasized that within the last three years, interaction of Moscow and Budapest has become more active. The progress is seen in all the areas concerned.
