Russia and Czech Republic against Nazi glorification

Russian President Administration Opinions of Moscow and Prague about impossibility of framing and glorification of Nazism fully coincide, according to the meeting’s results of Presidents of Russia and Czech Republic Vladimir Putin and Milos Zeman, RIA Novosti informs. The meeting is held on 21st of November in Sochi.

The countries agree that everything possible should be done to stop history falsification and reconsideration of WWII outcome.

The Kremlin has underlined that interaction in historical-memorial sphere still plays a major role in reinforcement and development of the two countries.

According to the archived documents, there are more than six hundred and fifty military graves of WWII period. About fifty thousand people – soldiers and officers of the Soviet Army who gave their lives for freedom of the country found their final resting place there. Besides, graves of about eighteen thousand prisoners and Soviet Union citizens are located in Czech Republic.

Russian authorities note that Czech Republic handles military burial sites and monuments with great respect and care. They are secure and taken good care of. There is intergovernmental agreement about combined care after military burial sites between Russia and Czech Republic.
