According to the profile committee, Russia failed to fulfill two requirements, namely it did not acknowledge conclusions of Richard McLaren’s report about doping abuse by our sportsmen and refused to provide access to the doping tests.

In his turn, Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov during his presentation at WADA executive meeting has emphasized that Russia acknowledges importance of the facts provided in the McLaren’s report, however, the report has many inaccuracies, that require more precise investigation.

The WADA decision evoked negative reaction of Russian sportsmen and top officials.

Moscow disagrees with the decision made by World Anti-Doping Agency regarding RUSADA, according to Presidential Press Secretary Dmitri Peskov. "We have denied and are strongly denying now accusations about the state support of doping abuse by sportsmen," - he underlined.  Dmitri Peskov has also mentioned that despite this incident, Russia is preparing for the Olympics.

It is worth reminding that WADA accused RUSADA of infringement of its code and stopped its membership.
