Cannes to see Russian cinema novelties

Flickr/whatleydudeNovelties of the Russian cinema world will be demonstrated in the Cannes, RIA Novosti informs. They will be delivered at the international cinema market Marche du film held in this French city at the Cote d’Azur simultaneously with the famous film festival.

The audience will be able to watch movie Upward Movement by TriTe Company about Soviet basketball players who outplayed their rivals from the United States in the finals of 1872 Olympic Games. The movie will be screened in our country at the end of this year.

Another movie about sports called Ice is presented by Art Pictures Studio, the company of Fyodor Bondarchuk. It is a love story of young couple – a figure skater and a hockey player. It is to be screened at the New Year Eve.

Footage of a new military adventure movie about tanks titled T-34 will be demonstrated in the Cannes as well. The movie is being shot at present.

Besides, presentations of two movies with a well-known actor Konstantin Khabensky can be watched at the film festival. He played in the historical drama Escape from Sobibor based on a true story. The second movie is thriller called Selfi by Nikolay Homeriki.

Karen Shakhnazarov will bring a screenplay of his new movie after Lev Tolstoy novel Anna Karenina. Vronsky’s Story.
