Russian Cosmonautics Week held in Mexico

National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico hosted a gala opening ceremony of Russian Cosmonautics Week, as per Rossotrudnichestvo website.

Russia’s Ambassador to Mexico Edward Malayan, Regional director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Nikolay Mikhailov, Rector of Polytechnic Institute Enrique Fernandez and Polytechnic Institute Cosmonautics Center director Sergio Pandiya made their introductory speeches.

Members of the Russian delegation, such as Hero of the USSR cosmonaut Anatoli Artsebarsky, specialized Mechanical Engineering Department Dean of Bauman Moscow State Technical University Vladimir Kalugin, Department Director of Rosscosmos Alexander Zakharenko will take part in round table discussions and conferences organized in Mexican Aerospace Agency, related departments of the leading universities of Mexico and on the premises of scientific research centers of Mexico city, Queretaro, Puebla.

Russian Cosmos photo exhibition and demonstration of profiled documentaries produced by RT channel and Rosscosmos company are on the agenda as well.

Week of Russian Cosmonautics in Mexico is organized by National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico and Russkiy Mir Foundation. It is supported by Rossotrudnichestvo and Russian Embassy.
