The State Duma Deputies will present Syrian children with schoolbags and textbooks

Joseph Eid Russian Parliament members will provide humanitarian aid to schoolchildren in Aleppo, Syria. They shared this information in the course of the conversation with the Governor of the Syrian Province Hussein Ahmad Diab, IA Interfax informs.

Vice-Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Parliament Vladimir Vasiliev explained that this decision was made by the delegation of the Russian State Duma, which included representatives of all parliamentary groups.

The Institute of Aleppo addressed the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides for help also.

Within two weeks, the deputies are going to deliver thousands of school kits with backpacks and textbooks to facilitate educational needs of these children.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky added that this would be the first modest gift for heroes of Aleppo and their children. The deputy has emphasized that at present Aleppo represents a symbol of combating international terrorism and fighting of Syrian people with this universal evil.
