In the course of the last couple of years Russia has become very popular place for medical tourism. According to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Veronica Skvortsova, the number of people looking for medical help from abroad has increased by 90%.

In 2016 foreign citizens were coming to our country to get a cure in several main fields: surgery, dental health, obstetrics and gynecology. There were about 13000 patients from abroad the last year.

The minister is assured that all these people are attracted by "high-quality services and low prices".

At the same time, Mrs Skvortsova has mentioned that the flow of Russians looking for medical help abroad has significantly reduced. In total, 80,000 Russians went to be cured abroad in 2016. The quantity of those who wanted to get medical help in Israel reduced more than twice, in Germany decreased by 30%.
