Global Education project prolonged until 2025

pixabay.comThe Council of Ministers decided to prolong the Global Education project aimed at supporting Russian citizens who entered the most prestigious higher educational institutions abroad free of charge. The project will stay in force until 2025, as per TASS. Earlier this project was to finish this year.

The amount of the grant allocated to students will be increased to reach 2,7 million roubles per year. Earlier it was 1,3 million roubles.

2014 – 2016 Global Education project provides an opportunity to get free education in the foreign universities including top rated educational institutions, such as Harvard, Oxford and Yale. It is targeted for young specialists from regions of the country, first for all.

Press service of the Russkiy Mir Foundation advised that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the order about support measures of Russian citizens entering foreign higher educational institutions at the end of 2013.
