Russian Historical Society Opens its House in Moscow

Sergey Naryshkin, State Duma Speaker and Russian Historical Society (RHS) Director, and Patriarch Kirill, Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, were present at the ceremony. The event is dated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian Historical Society, reports RIA «Novosti».

The House of the RHS is located in the historical center of Moscow in a mansion built on the turn of the 19th century. According to Sergey Naryshkin, the House is supposed to host meetings between representatives of science, education, workers in culture as well as meeting with foreign guests.

The building was restored and the work done by specialists was awarded the top assessment. According to the Director of the RHS, the project partners were awarded diplomas for winning in the nomination “City Mansion” of the competition named “Moscow Restoration”.
