CHECKLIST OF DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN APPLYING FOR A “RUSSKIY MIR” GRANT AND CONTENT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEM

1. While making an application for a Russkiy Mir grant (hereinafter referred to as application), the Grantseeker is to provide the following documents in carbon copies:

1.1. Individual Grantseeker regardless of citizenship: passport;

1.2. Russian juridical person as Grantseeker: extract from the unified state register of legal entities dated 6 months at the latest since it was sent off to the Russkiy Mir Foundation; letter confirming that the organization is not under restructuring or dissolution;

1.3. Foreign juridical person as Grantseeker: extract from the state register (either administrative or judicial registration authority) dated 6 months at the latest since it was sent off to the Russkiy Mir Foundation that shall contain the following information:

  • Grantseeker’s exact long title, including its form of business ownership as consistent with its statutory documents;

  • Grantseeker’s exact address;

  • information confirming that the Grantseeker is a juridical person;

  • information confirming that the Grantseeker is a nonprofit organization;

  • list of Grantseeker’s statutory goals and types of activity;

  • date of the Grantseeker’s establishment (registration);

  • surname, first name and patronymic and position (regulatory body) of the eligible person who can act on behalf of the Grantseeker with full authority including conclusion of contracts on behalf of the Grantseeker as well as their term of office;

  • list of founders, partners and members of the Grantseeker.

1.4. In case the legislation of the country in which the Grantseeker that is a foreign juridical person is registered does not provide for issue of the extract referred to in the current section or in case of lack of above mentioned information in the extract, the Grantseeker shall additionally file copies of documents containing required details to the Russkiy Mir Foundation. Depending on the lacking information contained in the extract they might be as following:

  • articles (charter, provision, statute or establishment order) of organization (or extract from them) as juridical person;

  • act of registration of a juridical person, i. e. act issued by the body of state authority (either administrative or judicial registration authority) on the state registration of the Grantseeker as a juridical person;

  • document (minutes, order) confirming the fact of election (appointment) of a person who can act on behalf of the Grantseeker with full authority including conclusion (signing) of contracts on behalf of the Grantseeker.



1.5. Regardless of the place of its registration, Grantseeker as a juridical person shall enclose a letter signed by the head of the organization confirming that the organization is not under restructuring or dissolution.

2. In case the grant agreement is signed not by the head of the organization but by another person representing the Grantseeker as a juridical person, a letter of authorization given to the person who can act on behalf of the Grantseeker shall be filed to the Russkiy Mir Foundation regardless of the country of its registration

3. Grantseekers that are foreign individual Grantseeker or foreign juridical persons shall file the documents specified in items 2 and 3 of the checklist along with their translation into the Russian language and certified by the Grantseeker’s signature and official seal (if available) to the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

4. At the discretion of the Grantseeker the application form can enclose the following documents:

  • letters confirming the project support by international and national professional organizations or associations, scientific institutions, non-governmental and nonprofit organizations, public control and administration authorities or educational institutions;

  • confirmation letters on the project financial support provided by other funding sources including nonprofit or profit organizations including the exact amount of financing they provide for the project implementation;

  • information on the project.

5. The Checklist is effective as of the date of its publication on the Russkiy Mir website.


grant Projects

Concerts dedicated to Russian culture were held in various cities of Bulgaria, including Plovdiv, Haskovo, Tryavna, Sofia, Dobrich, Dimitrovgrad, Blagoevgrad, Shumen, Targovishte, and Kableshkovo, as part of the "Art Saves the World" project from November 4 to December 4. The initiative was organized by the art center Slavic Culture with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
Various events in France featured the presentation of The Path to Love bilingual two-volume edition in October-November. Published with the backing of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. The edition commemorates the 205th anniversary of Ivan Turgenev's birth.
