The Russkiy Mir Foundation supports, organizes and implements a wide range international education and public awareness programs as well as special campaigns and competitions aimed at increasing interest in the study of Russian language, culture and history as well as promoting cooperation among the most active and creative representatives of Russkiy Mir throughout the world.

This program of the Foundation is aimed at creating conditions conducive to learning about Russkiy Mir and improving Russian language skills. These facilities are unique in their individualized designs for each location, compact organization in small working spaces, simply set-up and easy use, as well as free access to resources for all who are interested.

Russkiy Mir Professor The Russkiy Mir Professor program supports the teaching of Russian language, literature and other related humanities programs at educational institutions outside Russia. The Foundation provides direct financial support for the teachers, professors and instructors at educational institutions participating in this program.

Russkiy Mir Internships In partnership with leading Russian educational institutions, the Foundation organizes internship programs for foreign students studying the Russian language as well as Russian language teachers from abroad who seek to booster their level of competency. The internships include both lectures and practical training classes, and the participants receive certificates upon completion of the program.

Russkiy Mir Assembly ⁄

The largest event of the Russkiy Mir Foundation is the Russkiy Mir Assembly, which takes place in Moscow each autumn, coinciding with Russia's public holiday National Unity Day (November 4). The Assembly includes podium discussions, roundtables, thematic sessions and practical seminars on the most topical issues concerning the language, culture, history and philosophy of Russkiy Mir. This annual international forum is a platform that expresses the contemporary creative and intellectual potential of Russkiy Mir as well as the ever increasing interest in the study of Russian language and cultural throughout the world.

On April 12, 1961, one of the greatest milestones in the history of mankind was achieved: the spaceship Vostok launched the first manned flight into space. In honor of the 50th anniversary of this event, the Russkiy Mir Foundation is launching the First in Space public awareness and celebration campaign. The Foundation invites people on all continents to join us in celebrating Gagarin’s timeless feat.

In honor of the 65th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and with the aim of preserving the historical memory of this triumph, the Russkiy Mir Foundation has launched the international competition and public awareness campaign “Russkiy Mir – Memory of the Heart”.

Symbols of Russkiy Mir The objective of this program is to preserve the memory of great compatriots – scientists, writers, artists, philosophers – who represent the best of Russkiy Mir. The Foundation supports the popularization of important events and preservation of historical sites related to events and people in the history of Russkiy Mir.

Russkiy Mir Students At educational institutions outside Russia, students entering Russian-language programs, new Russian library users, children of Russian educational centers and summer languages camps are registered as Russkiy Mir Students.

Competitions & Olympiads The Russkiy Mir Foundation actively supports the organization of public, academic and artistic competitions as a means of raising the level of interest in the study of Russian history, culture and language. Such initiatives attract promote cooperation and communication between the most active and creative minds of Russkiy Mir.
