V Russkiy Mir Assembly

The V Russkiy Mir Assembly was held on November 3, 2011, in St. Petersburg. This year more than 600 people from 75 countries gathered in Russia's Northern Capital. They included political and public figures, academics, writers, representatives of compatriot organizations, religious leaders, journalists, university and school teachers, among others.

The main theme of this year's event was "The Russian Language Today and Tomorrow." This international forum included discussions of a wide range of issues related to Russkiy Mir, its history, culture and philosophy.

Russian Center Opens on Board of Training Sailing Vessel Mir

The opening of the Russian Center took place on April 26, 2012, in St. Petersburg on board of the training sailing vessel Mir, which is getting ready to set sail for more than 20 foreign ports. The center was opened with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
