Russian Language School in Riga
Sep 1, 2010
On August 31, the Russian Center at the Baltic International Academy (BIA) hosted a presentation of the Russian Language School for students from European countries participating in the Eramus internship program.
This project has received support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation. The director of the school is Russian language teacher Zhanna Graudynia.
BIA Rector Arkady Votsish made the opening remarks, welcoming students to the school and informing them about the study programs, teachers and the wide variety of opportunities to improve their skills.
The students viewed a slide show “Russia and the World in the 21st Century: The State, Territory, Peoples, Language, Religion and Culture”.
A discussion with the students began on the theme “Why Study the Russian Language?” which naturally flowed into their first practical lesson on the theme “Let’s Get Acquainted.”
