Pushkin Arts Festival Concludes in Vilnius
Jan 27, 2012
The Pushkin Festival of Arts in Vilnius ended in a solemn ceremony. The big hall of the Russian Drama Theatre in Lithuania was too small to hold all volunteers who took the most active part in this creativity contest.
The Pushkin Festival of Arts organized with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation by the Vilnius Association of Teachers of Russian Schools (VATRS) became a notable event for the Russian community of Lithuania and participating children.
Addressing the attendees, Chairman of VATRS Victoria Shkalovskaya said, “You don’t imagine how difficult it was for the commission to select the best out of the best. All of you are winners because you turned to Pushkin’s word! His language is also your language, rich, expressive and felicitous. Take care of it and never part with this verbal wealth!”
Award presentation to the winners and most active participants of the context took almost two hours. In conclusion the Gostya ensemble performed The Swan Princess program.
