Russia and Kazakhstan Sign Set of Agreements

Russia and Kazakhstan have signed a package of agreements, including a document on the joint development of the Imashevskoye gas condensate field, ITAR-TASS reports.
The signing ceremony was held in the format of the Seventh Forum of Russia-Kazakhstan Inter-Regional Cooperation with the participation of the heads of state.
Russian Minister of Natural Resources Yuri Trutnev and Kazakhstani Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev put their signatures to the intergovernmental agreement on joint activities aimed at the geological surveys and development of trans-boundary gas condensate deposit Imashevskoye.
Two more intergovernmental agreements, which were signed by the Russian and Kazakhstani officials during Tuesday’s meeting, embrace inter-regional and trans-boundary interaction, as well as joint use and protection of trans-boundary water resources.
President of the Russian Railways Company Vladimir Yakunin and President of the National “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” company Askar Mamin signed a memorandum on mutual interaction of the Russian and Kazakhstani railroads in the sphere of efficient implementation of the Customs Union’s transit potential.
In addition, several agreements were signed by the heads of Russian and Kazakhstani regions. In particular, the Akimat (Executive Committee) of the East Kazakhstan Region signed agreements with three Russian regions, including the Altai Territory, the Republic of Altai and the Novosibirsk region. The documents embrace trade, economic, social, scientific, technical and cultural sphere of interaction.
