Russian Cabinet opened in Baku

On December 20, the opening of the Russian World Center at the Azerbaijan University of Languages took place in Baku. The executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Vladimir Kochin, took part in the ceremony.

Azerbaijan University of Languages is one of the leading universities in the country. The university trains professionals in more than 60 specialties, there are five faculties, 32 departments, research laboratories, cultural and language centers.

The Center for Russian Studies, created in 2017, is today the only educational center in Azerbaijan where a full-fledged study of Russia is conducted - its history, culture, social and political structure. The Center promotes cooperation with Russian educational, scientific and cultural organizations, and carries out cooperation with Russian universities and structures.

The most important areas of activity of the Center for Russian Studies are interaction with research laboratories for the study of Russia both in Russia and foreign countries, participation in international scientific projects and grants. The center also cooperates with the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia and the Russian community in Azerbaijan.
