Russian regions boast their achievements at Russia Exhibition

The ''Russia'' International exhibition and forum opened on November, 4, at theVDNKh exhibition center in Moscow. All regions of the country, as well as leading companies are presented there, TASS reports.

Each region is represented in its own unique way. The pavilion of the Sakhalin region is designed in the shape of a ship, while the guests of the Khakassia stand will be able to visit a real yurt.

The Ulyanovsk pavilion will allow everyone to fly an airplane, and representatives of the Volgograd region decorated their stand with a model of the ''The Motherland is Calling!'' sculpture and organized an online tour of Mamayev Kurgan and other attractions of the region.

The Khabarovsk Territory presents a figure of a man created from drops of water, he symbolizes the Amur River. The stand of the Tomsk region is decorated in the style of the Emerald City fairy tale. Crimea will launch a photo competition in which the winner will receive a family trip to the peninsula. The Tver region will present an interactive driver's cabin of the Ivolga 3.0 train, in which everyone can go on a virtual trip to the sights of the region.

The ''Russia - Territory of Taste'' gastronomic festival  kicked off within the exhibition. The events will bring together culinary experts from all over Russia, and guests will also be able to see products from leading Russian manufacturers and local farmers.


A number of unique objects were created especially for the exhibition, including the Russian Achievements gallery, which is a futuristic 166-meter tunnel, and the Living Map of Russia installation.

The exhibition will run for almost six months, until April, 12. More than 500 excursions will be held every day, and 13 excursion routes have been prepared for visitors. About 12 million people are expected to visit the exhibition.

The exhibition will also be visited by foreign guests - representatives of the CIS countries, Asia, Latin America and other regions are expected.
