International Festival of Russian-Speaking Theaters kicks off in Finland

Performances and master classes by theaters and experts from Russia, Germany, Finland, Ukraine and Latvia have been included in the program of the 8th International Festival of Russian-speaking theaters ArtMasterFest, which opens on August, 24 in Jyväskylä, Finland, the website of the Association of Russian Theater Workers Abroad reports.

The festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Education of Finland, the local Russian Society and the Society of Russian Literature act as partners. Performances and other events will be held in the halls of local theaters, a number of them are free to enter.

Russia is represented at the festival by the Moscow Daughters of SOSO theater, two of its productions will be shown in video format. The Kharkov Langeron theater will present the "Vysotsky" production, and the troupe from Berlin will bring the "Tin and Gold" play.

Master classes dedicated to acting and drama, meetings with the creators of festival productions, discussions of performances, and an online seminar are planned.
