Muscovites have been bringing flowers to the building of the Austrian embassy in Starokonyushenny Lane since morning, TASS reports. In memory of the victims of the terrorist attack, which took place the day before, on November 2, red roses lie near the walls of the diplomatic mission. The state flag of Austria and the flag of the European Union are lowered above the embassy.

Several armed men started shooting near a synagogue located in the center of the Austrian capital on Graben Square. In total, about 50 shots were fired. Seven civilians and a police officer were seriously injured. According to the latest information, three people died, and one of the criminals was also eliminated. Four terrorists were detained at the scene of the attack, but several criminals may still remain at large.

Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer and Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called the Vienna attack a terrorist attack. The population is advised to avoid public places. A large-scale forceful special operation to search for criminals continues in the city.
