During the evening, filled with music and interesting information, the organizers spoke about the customs of different nations associated with the saint. The local Serbian choir took part in the evening, Russkoe Pole reports.

The event was held in the Munich Hall on Nikolai Platz, where St. Nicholas Church was located more than a hundred years ago. The evening was dedicated to the Orthodox holiday in honor of St. Nicholas. It is no secret that Nicholas of Myra is also revered by Catholics and representatives of other Christian faiths.

The guests found out that Nicholas the Wonder Worker was a historical person and learnt about the spiritual deeds of the saint. The actors of the Russian community of Munich presented a theatrical production based on myths about Nicholas.

The president of the MIR society Tatyana Lukina spoke about the miraculous icon of St. Nicholas, which is stored in the Munich Foundation of composer Alexander Glazunov. Previously, the icon was owned by representatives of the imperial family of Russia.
