Masha and the Bear YouTube audience reached 10 million subscribers

The Spanish and English YouTube channels of the Russian animated series Masha and the Bear have earned the video service’s Diamond Play Button. Representatives of YouTube awarded the channels for reaching the mark of 10 million subscribers, TASS reports.

Masha and the Bear is the first Russian animated series to achieve this result with foreign-language channels. The Russian-language channel of the series reached this mark two years ago. The animated series, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in the past year, was released in 36 languages; it is watched in more than a hundred countries.

Masha and the Bear owns a number of world records. This year, Masha Plus Porridge episode became the most watched animated film on YouTube. With more than 4 billion views, the series has been in the top five most watched videos on YouTube since its launch.

According to various ratings, the Russian animated series was among the five most popular children's shows on the planet and took place in the top 5 most popular children's brands in Europe and Latin America.
