Foreign distributors interested in the Golden Horde Russian series

Flickr/Iain WatsonThe Golden Horde Russian series demonstrated today at MIPCOM world’s audiovisual content market in the Cannes evoked interest of providers from different countries, TASS informs. The project tells a story of the Tatar Mongol Yoke in Rus as a historical melodrama. Alexander Ustyugov, Julia Peresild, Svetlana Kolpakova and others starred in the movie.

According to General Producer of Amedia Production Nelly Yaralova, they already got several interesting proposals and chose one of them made by Global Agency.

Russian TV audience is to watch the series already next spring.

Global Agency believes that this project is a perfect beginning for appearance of Russian content at the global market. They called the series a brilliant work, which will become a serious rival to other foreign series.

Timur Alpatov directed the TV series. Olga Larionova is an author of the scenario. The series was shot in Moscow and Crimea.

The audiovisual content market started in the Cannes the day before. Russian projects are presented as a part of customized programme Russian Content Revolution. Made in Russia pavilion of audiovisual content was opened at the exhibition of Russian Export Center. Around twenty animation studios and six TV companies take part in the pavilion.
