Message for Youth Festival 2067 participants is placed in Sevastopol

Egor Zhelov/TASSParticipants of the World Festival for Youth and Students staying in Sevastopol as a part of the regional programme input a capsule with message to the next generation. It is meant for participants of the forum, which will be conducted in 2067. The message is about peace and friendship, TASS reports.

The gala ceremony was held the day before in Sevastopol State University. Guests from different countries were greeted by students, university and city authorities with applauses.

The forum hosts read the message in Russian and English. Young people of 2017 talk to the next generation reminding that only joint efforts and common grounds will help to build a better future.

According to the message, dreams about peace, friendship and prosperity of people join today’s youth. They ask to remember their history, love the Motherland and make everything possible for its well-being.

The ceremony of placing the capsule became the central event of the World Festival for Youth and Students in Sevastopol. Fifty foreign delegates from all continents of our planet managed to see the most famous sights of the hero-city and get to know its glorious history over these two days. They also discussed with its peers from Sevastopol central questions for the youth around the world.

The main events of the World Festival for Youth and Students are held in Sochi. This year for the first time, the programme of the festival supposes acquaintance with the inviting country. Thanks to this, foreign students will be able to visit fifteen Russian cities, meet their peers and get to know culture of multinational Russia much better.

Russkiy Mir Foundation is a partner of 19th World Festival for Youth and Students’ administration rendering help in attraction of participants from abroad. Almost two hundred young people from ex-Soviet countries and non-CIS states could come to Russia for the festival.
