It started with divine service at the St. Spyridon’s church located in the capital of Kerkyra Island. After the service, there was a ceremony of laying flowers by the monument in honor of Fyodor Ushakov and founding the avenue of Memory and Friendship, TASS reports.

Two exhibitions devoted to Russia were opened inside the city administrative building. One of them is about Russian naval commander Fyodor Ushakov. The second exhibition is dedicated to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The exhibition called Undefeated Admiral: Saint Righteous Warrior Fyodor Ushakov talks about life of the naval commander. Visitors are welcome to get acquainted with unique documents, maps of battles and icons. It is worth reminding that 200th death anniversary and the canonization anniversary of the Russian naval commander Fyodor Ushakov were marked last Saturday.

The second exhibition displays ninety pictures of the Russian President taken over the last 17 years where the head of the Russian Federation meets top officials of various countries, heads of international organizations, simple people and where he is on vacation.
