31.07.2017

Russian Reporter magazine has conducted research to define top 100 most famous Russian songs over the last 100 years. The research organizers had a goal to find cult compositions, songs that have become the part of the nation, part of the folklore. Without them the music culture would be uncomplete.

The top ten songs are Tyomnaya Noch (The Dark Night) performed by Mark Bernes and several other songs about World War 2, The Blood Group and I Want Changes by rock band Kino composed by Viktor Tsoy, What is a Fall? by Yuri Shevchuck and DDT group. Also some songs of Alla Pugacheva, Yuri Antonov and other pop singers are in the list.

Yandex streaming audio service has made a compilations of tracks included in this top-100 list. It is available online for free.
