International travellers' flow to Russia grew by 17%

Sustained influx of tourists has increased by 17% in the course of the first 4 months of 2017, Interfax informs. During this timeframe 300 thousand tourists have visited Russia. This information comes from the Russian Border Patrol.

As press-secretary of The Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Turina has specified, the tourist flow has mainly raised because of Asian travellers. Chinese touriusts are the most active ones, the research showed the 60% growth. The amount of South Korean tourists exceeds the total amount by more than one third. Turkish and Thai guests visit Russia 2 and 2.5 times more often.

In the meanwhile, European tourists quantity is dropping. Spanish guests are fewer by almost one quarter, Germans and Italians were reduced by 20 and 14 per cent respectively. At the same time there's a 4% growth among French citizens.

More than 3 million tourists visited our country in 2016. This number slowly grows each year. Russia is the most popular destination for Chinese, on the second place are Germans, and on the third place American tourists.
