Chef from Krasnodar to represent Russia in Bocuse d’Or contest

Chef Andrey Matukha has won the Russian stage of the prestigious World Cooking Contest Bocuse d’Or, Lenta.ru reports.

The competition for participation in Bocuse d’Or was held in the framework of the Taste of Moscow festival in Moscow. Besides Andrey Matukha, best chefs from Moscow and Ekaterinburg took part in it. According to the Moscow competition assigment, seven chefs were asked to cook two types of dishes: poultry and vegetarian. When the cooking time was finished, the jury has estimated dishes by taste and appeal.

Andrey Matukha was declared the winner and received the prize of 3000 euro. He will take part in Bocuse d’Or semi-finals that will take place in Italian Turin in January 2018.
