Ministries of culture of the Russian Federation and Norway agreed a cooperation programme in the field of culture for the next two years, RIA Novosti reports. Deputy Culture Minister Alla Manilova represented Russia, whereas Norway was presented by her colleague Bard Folke at the signing ceremony. Alla Manilova commented that the present programme would enable to organize systematic cultural cooperation.

According to this document, the parties have undertaken to secure conditions for cooperation development in the fields of museum affairs, protection of cultural heritage objects, fine arts, theatre and music.

Brad Folke consented with the main collaboration directions between Russia and Norway mentioned in the speech of Manilova and expressed hope that the signed collaboration programme would reinforce Russian-Norwegian relations.

The collaboration plan covers arrangement of museum exhibitions in Norway and Russia, expositions’ exchange programmes, organization of road tours for music bands and theatre groups as well as many other aspects.
