Russian tennis player Svetlana Kuznetsova was hissed and jeered by the tribunes at Miami Open Tennis Tournament, RIA Novosti reports. This sad accident happened when she was playing against American player Venus, one of the Williams’ sisters.

When Venus Williams started a serve, the audience hissed and made a lot of noise. One of the fans was shouting to Kuznetsova “Go back to Moscow”.

It is difficult to judge if fan’s behavior influenced Kuznetsova’s performance or not, but the American tennis player won the match with the final score of 7:6, 6:3.

Russian sportsmen have to feel negative attitude of the audience more and more often. It was evident at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and during later competitions. At the beginning of this year, the Czech Republic fans were trying to hiss the Russian anthem at World Junior Hockey Championship among women. With the first chords, the tribunes started to shout and jeer, however the national team continued signing the anthem until the end. Russian team took the third place at the World Competitions that time.
