Premier League football players will read their favorite poems

23.03.2017

Official website of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia fans Welcome2018.com has launched Literature project Football Lyrics, according to IA Interfax. The plan is to publish a series of videos with football players from the Premier League reading their favorite poems.

Russian CSKA defender Alexei Berezutsky initiated the project by reading “The Birch-tree” poem by Sergey Yesenin.

It should be reminded that the World Cup will take place in Russia next year. Russia is hosting FIFA Confederations Cup this year.

Football fans who would come to see the Cup will be offered more than 120 tourist routes. Thanks to them, foreigners will be able to know Russia better and visit other Russian cities. These routes were developed by the order of Russian Ministry of Culture and would take one or several days. Each route includes about five hundred interesting sights.
