Giorgio de Chirico Exhibition to open Cherry Forest Arts Festival

Cherry Forest Arts Festival has announced its agenda, RIA Novosti reports. Giorgio de Chirico Exhibition Metaphysical Insights will kick off the Festival in a month. The Tretyakov Gallery is one of its organizers. Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre will close the Festival. Moscow citizens and guests will be able to see the world premiere Russian Hamlet. Actors from Saint Petersburg will perform at the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Cherry Forest in cooperation with a Moscow theatre prepares a new staging every year. This time it will be a premiere Circus after the comedy with the same title by film director Grigori Aleksandrov.

Cherry Jelly of Poems performance is included into the programme. It consists of poems by young poets based on their reminiscences of childhood. Staging “Demon, Soldier and Violin” after fairytales by Alexander Afanasiev and concert of young musicians will be presented to the audience too. The musicians will be accompanied by National Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Vladimir Spivakov.

Besides, artworks of Russian painter Katya Medvedeva will be included in the Festival agenda. She is a well-known representative of naïve art in our country. 

Traditionally, participants and guests of the Festival will plant cherry bushes at the territory of Olympic Complex Luzhniki. Moreover, names of the famous actor Oleg Yankovsky Award winners will be announced.
