Photo by Nikolai KarachevOn August 12, a roundtable discussion was held in the Spasskoe-Lutovinovo museum estate of Ivan Turgenev. The aim is starting a youth platform that would encourage the learning of Russian language and culture abroad. The action was initiated by the Vladimir Dahl International Russian Language and Culture School, organized by ANO Prolog.

Schoolchildren and students from France, India, Poland and Serbia gathered in the family estate of Ivan Turgenev. Each roundtable participant was given a chance to develop a concept of the project that may unite young people of various nationalities interested in Russian studies. This will supposedly be done in the course of international contests, whose winners will become participants of the international youth forum Bezhin Lug. The first forum will reportedly be conducted in 2015, proclaimed as the Year of Literature by a Russian presidential decree.

Deputy Executive Director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Sergei Shurygin, who participated in the roundtable proceedings, wished the participants plenty of creativity and successful implementation of their ideas.
