Russian Compatriots Forum Opens in New York

The V Russian Compatriots Forum in the United States opens today, August 29, in New York City. Participants include representatives of Russian compatriot organizations in the US as well as the Russian Ambassador and General Consuls stationed in New York, Houston, Seattle and San Francisco, the website of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in the United States.

The forum will address issues concern the development and support of initiatives of compatriots in cultural and education, the preservation of the historical heritage of compatriots, work with children and youth, and human rights protection, the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in the United States reports.

The event will have the following thematic sessions: Culture; Russian Language and Education in the United States; Russian History and Heritage; Media; Russian Youth Organizations in the United States; Business, Innovation and Cooperation; Society and Religion.
